Title: Senior MES Technical Manager

Location: Pleasanton, CA, USA.

Job Duties: As an Senior MES Technical Manager, candidate’s duties will include.

Responsibilities

1. Manage Implementation of Siemens Opcenter for clients in North America region
   1. Manage and ensure the technical deliverable for the Siemens Opcenter project matches the Customer functional and solution requirements.
   2. Manage and ensure the technical delivery meets the industry best practices and technical component are re-usable
2. Responsible for Requirement Analysis, Solution Design Implementation, Validation and Delivery management for Siemens Opcenter MES solution.
   1. For Siemens Opcenter Implementation, responsible to ensure that the project team follows the value driven standard delivery methodology, playbook and templates are followed for all phases of the projects (requirement analysis, solution & technical design, testing/validation, implementation, and deployment)
   2. Responsible for collaborating with customer technical team to complete design, code and quality reviews in timely fashion and required approvals are obtained.
3. Provide functional and technical solution design based on understanding of manufacturing business processes.
   1. Create functional solution design documents to meet customer requirements and expectations.
   2. Create technical design documents for each capability, gaps and interfaces with uses case scenarios.
4. Responsible for client interaction and engagement for new changes and open issues.
   1. Regular interaction with client to review and collaborate with them to address all open technical issues.
   2. Work with client on the new change request and align on the best way to address the new requirement.
5. Responsible for requirement analysis and assist Product development team to build MES Solution.
   1. Once the requirements are received from the client, responsible to to analyze the functional requirement and make technical solutions recommendation.
   2. Once the technical design document are approved, responsible to work with development team and quality team to explain the technical solutions and assist them to build MES solution
6. Support on validation and implementation ODS implementation.
   1. Manage and guide the quality team with overall manufacturing system validation.
   2. For Siemens ODS (data replication and reporting) implementation, provide technical guidance to Client IT team.
7. Act as Solution Consultant for implementing and aligning new business processes to Semiconductor and Electronics manufacturing clients.
   1. Conduct Solution and technical workshops with the semiconductor/ electronic manufacturing clients to map their process to Siemens Opcenter platform capabilities.
   2. Create and document overall functionality solution and technical document for customer project implementation
8. Provide user training and configuration management.
   1. Provide technical training for the project technical solution developed and deployed by his team at customer place or via collaboration tool.
9. Assist Client IT team to deliver timely quality solution as per change request.
   1. For the changes to scope, collaborate with Clients IT teams and stakeholder to analyze the technical complexities and make appropriate recommendations to manage the scope and schedule risks.
10. Provide technical oversight to the team and project management.
    1. Perform technical design walk through to the development and testing team.
    2. Provide guidance and solutions on the complex issues to the technical team.
    3. Manage tasks and resources by dividing the tasks into different resources and track the progress regularly
11. Direct and support on designing and developing the factory model using Opcenter Designer tool.
    1. Development of the business logic using Siemens provided development tool kit (designer) and assist other developers on this development.
    2. Ensure developers have tested and delivered quality product by following the software development lifecycle.
12. Oversee the portal development and modeling configuration necessary to implement the solution at client side.
    1. Work with portal developers and modelers/configurators closely to make sure the web pages developed in portal (Siemens Opcenter technology) satisfies the technical design and requirements.
    2. Ensure developers have tested and delivered quality products by following the software development lifecycle.

Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Science, or another closely related major
• Must have 4 years in MES Camstar / Siemens Opcenter experience in providing solutions for implementation of Camstar. Preferred experience working in Medical Device or Semiconductor or Electronics industry.
• Experienced with large, multi-plant, global programs and is responsible for the overall quality of delivery on the assigned project.
• Complete life cycle implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) product (e.g., Siemens Opcenter or similar platforms)
• Should have strong exposure to MES Product Administration and configuration
• Experience in leading the requirements definition and MES implementation of the Factory Model
• Extensive Domain experience in Medical Devices or semiconductor industry with the ability to map business requirements with manufacturing IT applications.
• Hands-on expertise with the 3rd Party interfaces with the MES application like ERP, LIMS, Equipment, HMI etc.
